THE YAMAS AND NIYAMAS

This course focuses on using yoga’s ethical code to find meaning and purpose in life.

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras offer guidance on how we might live our life in relationship to the people around us (yamas) and ourselves (niyamas).

In this series of 10 x 30 minute videos we will look at the yamas and niyamas and explore how we can relate to them both on and off our yoga mats.

THE 5 ELEMENTS

According to Ayurveda the life science that grew up alongside yoga in India everything in this material world is made up of a combination of the 5 elements. This course contains 5 x 30 minute classes - one on each of the 5 elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. The classes explore the qualities of each element, how they can get out of balance and how we can use our yoga practice to connect to these elements and rebalance ourselves to achieve better health and longevity.

Knowing about the 5 elements and how they show up in your life can be a really helpful tool in the quest for deeper self knowledge. Through this work I have found a much deeper connection to the world, nature and all the beauty and creativity that it holds.
